Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars is a turn-based strategy game depicting battles fought out between vampires. It features relatively standard strategy gameplay, which includes abilities to research and a large selection of units to do combat with.

As a strategy game, there are many popular games that Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars can be compared to games like Stronghold Crusader and Command & Conquer Red Alert. Though the game is 3D, it is played from a top-down, almost isometric perspective.

Vampires go to war

The world of Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars is one in which an uneasy peace between vampires and humans has been reached. One where vampires will leave humans alone as long as they willingly donate their blood. However, that doesn’t mean all conflict is resolved, as there is conflict among the vampires themselves.

Complex and engaging battle mechanics

The game makes use of a card deck system to handle upgrades, and many players have commented that the system is complex enough to keep them engaged while still being simple enough to get started with little experience. As well as different types of units to do battle with, there are several battlefields to wage war on.

An interesting concept with some issues

Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars delivers an interesting concept for the strategy genre, but it’s not perfect. Many players report that the user interface is poorly designed and that some of the level design is not ideal. For example, the size and layout of some maps can lead to many turns without combat. That being said, the game has generally received a positive reception from players.
